AUTISM & NEURODIVERGENCE

Pranic Healing for Autism and Neurodivergence

Personalized, Remote Support Without Another Demanding Appointment

Twin Hearts Institute provides personalized, non-touch Pranic Healing for children and adults with autism and other forms of neurodivergence — and for the parents and caregivers who support them. Sessions are remote, allowing the individual to remain at home without travel, physical contact, or pressure to speak with the practitioner, sit still, or perform a task.

SUPPORT SHAPED AROUND THE INDIVIDUAL

There Is No Single Autism Experience

Every person with autism or another form of neurodivergence is different. Communication styles, sensory preferences, strengths, routines, independence, and support needs can vary widely. Families come to us with different concerns, priorities, and hopes for daily life. We begin with the individual — not a list of assumptions about autism.

Emotional regulation

Emotional Regulation

Intense emotions, overwhelm, or difficulty returning to a calmer state.

Recovery after stress

Anxiety & Persistent Stress

Ongoing tension, agitation, fear, or emotional strain affecting daily life.

Stress and emotional dysregulation

Sensory Overwhelm

Overwhelm connected to sounds, lights, textures, environments, or accumulated sensory demands.

Sleep and relaxation

Sleep & Relaxation

Difficulty settling, staying asleep, or getting the rest the individual and household need.

Transitions and routine changes

Transitions & Routine Changes

Challenges moving between activities, adapting to change, or coping with unexpected events.

Meltdowns and prolonged tantrums

Meltdowns & Prolonged Tantrums

Episodes involving intense overwhelm, emotional outbursts, or difficulty returning to calm.

Not every person with autism or another form of neurodivergence experiences these concerns. The priorities that matter most to the individual and family become the starting point for an individualized Pranic Healing plan.
Families may also bring concerns related to communication, attention and concentration, daily routines, physical comfort, gastrointestinal wellness, recovery after stressful experiences, or overall energetic and emotional well-being.

Gastrointestinal concerns are common among individuals with autism.

When digestive discomfort or related wellness concerns are part of the family’s priorities, they may be considered within the broader Pranic Healing plan while medical symptoms and gastrointestinal conditions remain under the care of an appropriate healthcare professional.

OUR THREE-PILLAR APPROACH

Supporting the Individual, the Energetic Pattern, and the Family

At Twin Hearts Institute, we believe meaningful support should consider three interconnected areas: the immediate concerns affecting daily life, the underlying energetic patterns addressed through Pranic Healing, and the family surrounding the individual.

Immediate Support for Daily-Life Concerns

We work directly with concerns creating distress, disruption, or safety challenges — including emotional overwhelm, prolonged meltdowns or tantrums, difficulty settling, and aggression toward others.

Goals may focus on observable changes such as frequency, intensity, duration, recovery time, sleep, transitions, and emotional calm.

Longer-Term Energetic Wellness

Beyond immediate concerns, we consider energetic patterns associated with stress, agitation, sensory overwhelm, emotional intensity, difficulty settling, and overall regulation.

Pranic Healing techniques may be used to cleanse congested energy, regulate overactive areas, strengthen depleted areas, and support healthier circulation of prana.

Family and Caregiver Support

Supporting the caregiver can be an important part of supporting the individual.

Twin Hearts Institute also offers Pranic Healing for parents and caregivers seeking support with stress, emotional exhaustion, resilience, relaxation, and personal renewal.

These pillars work together. We move fluidly between Pranic Healing methods and techniques, considering the physical, emotional, mental, energetic, and familial dimensions of the individual’s world.

A LOWER-DEMAND EXPERIENCE

Support Without Another Difficult Appointment

Many families already manage school, therapy, medical care, support services, meetings, and everyday responsibilities. Pranic Healing can fit quietly around that routine without requiring travel or placing additional demands on the individual.

A family sharing a relaxed moment together at home

The individual generally does not need to:

  • Leave home
  • Tolerate physical touch
  • Enter an unfamiliar environment
  • Meet or speak with the practitioner
  • Maintain eye contact
  • Explain how they feel
  • Sit still
  • Complete an exercise or activity

Sessions can take place while the individual rests, plays, reads, watches a favorite program, or continues with an ordinary activity at home.

This gives families a way to explore additional support without replacing the services they already value or adding another stressful experience to the week.

WHEN OVERWHELM BECOMES INTENSE

Meltdowns, Prolonged Tantrums, and Aggressive Behavior

For some families, emotional overwhelm may involve screaming, prolonged tantrums, hitting, kicking, biting, throwing objects, or aggression toward others. These episodes may be connected to sensory overload, frustration, communication difficulties, anxiety, physical discomfort, disrupted sleep, sudden changes, or emotions the individual does not yet know how to express or regulate.

When these episodes become frequent or intense, they can affect routines, relationships, safety, and the emotional well-being of the entire household.

At Twin Hearts Institute, meltdowns, prolonged tantrums, and aggressive behavior can be a central focus of an individualized Pranic Healing plan.

Parents may become constantly alert for the next difficult moment, siblings may feel frightened or overlooked, and ordinary routines such as getting dressed, leaving home, attending school, or preparing for bedtime may become significant sources of stress.

Pranic Healing goals may include reducing:

01

Frequency

How often episodes occur.

02

Intensity

How intense or disruptive the episode becomes.

03

Duration

How long the episode lasts.

04

Recovery Time

How long the individual needs to return to a calmer state.

Families receiving Pranic Healing have reported meaningful improvements in these areas, including fewer episodes, less-intense outbursts, shorter recovery periods, and calmer responses to frustration and overwhelm.

Every individual responds differently, and no specific result can be guaranteed. Still, these are concerns we work with directly, track carefully, and take seriously.

WHAT ONE FAMILY EXPERIENCED

“We began Pranic Healing with a lot of skepticism, but what kept us going was what we started to see in our son. His tantrums became less frequent, his aggression decreased, and he became more focused and increasingly independent with everyday tasks. Over time, those changes added up to something much bigger for our family. Today, our nonverbal son is attending college, passing his classes, completing his work, and continuing to make progress. Pranic Healing became a deeply valued part of his journey and gave our family tremendous peace of mind.”

HOW PRANIC HEALING WORKS

More Than a Relaxation Service

Pranic Healing is a structured system of energy-based wellness developed by Master Choa Kok Sui.

Some people describe Pranic Healing as being similar to acupuncture without needles. Both approaches work with the concept of vital energy and its circulation through the body. Pranic Healing, however, is non-touch and also works with the chakras and the surrounding energy field, allowing sessions to be performed remotely.

Within the Pranic Healing system, each person has an energy body that includes the aura, chakras, and channels through which vital life energy — known as prana - circulates. Different chakras are associated with different physical, emotional, psychological, and mental functions.

When areas of the energy body become congested, depleted, or overactive, that energetic imbalance may influence how a person feels and responds.

In work with individuals with autism and other forms of neurodivergence, the practitioner may consider energetic patterns associated with emotional intensity, agitation, anxiety, sensory overwhelm, disrupted sleep, difficulty settling, and recovery after stress.

A Pranic Healing session may involve:

Cleansing Congested Energy

Cleansing stressful or congested energy.

Regulating Overactive Areas

Regulating chakras that appear overactive.

Energizing Depleted Areas

Energizing areas that appear depleted.

Supporting Prana Circulation

Supporting a healthier circulation of prana, including between lower chakras associated with vitality and emotion and upper centers associated with communication, direction, and mental clarity.

Working With Emotional Energy

Working with energetic patterns associated with anger, fear, anxiety, agitation, or distress.

Supporting Calm & Clarity

Supporting energy centers associated within the Pranic Healing framework with calm, regulation, communication, and mental clarity.

Pranic Healing is not simply about adding more energy.

When an area is already congested or overactive, adding more energy may not be appropriate. The practitioner first evaluates which areas may need cleansing, regulation, strengthening, balancing, or energizing, then applies techniques based on the individual’s needs.

There is no single energetic protocol that is right for every individual with autism or another form of neurodivergence.

This energetic work is combined with clear Pranic Healing goals related to the changes the family hopes to observe in daily life.

RESPECTFUL, FAMILY-CENTERED CARE

People with autism are not problems to be fixed.

Behaviors such as repetitive movement, pacing, vocalization, focused interests, or leaving an overstimulating environment may help the individual regulate, communicate, or feel safe. A meltdown is also not necessarily intentional misbehavior. It may reflect a person whose ability to cope has been exceeded.

Twin Hearts Institute does not seek to eliminate harmless traits associated with autism simply to make someone appear more typical. Our focus is on concerns that may be causing genuine distress, discomfort, disruption in daily life, aggression, or reduced quality of life.

We listen to families, respect the individual, and develop support around the concerns that genuinely matter.

Whenever possible, the individual’s preferences should be included in decisions about support. Families are also encouraged to remain attentive to signs of comfort, discomfort, willingness, and resistance throughout the process.

When authorized, we can communicate with Independent Facilitators, family advocates, and other members of a person-centered support team. When appropriate, this may include service descriptions, individualized Pranic Healing goals, session documentation, or periodic progress summaries.

WHY TWIN HEARTS INSTITUTE

A Family-Centered, Goal-Oriented Approach

Twin Hearts Institute was created with a particular focus on autism, neurodivergence, caregivers, and families navigating complex support needs. Our approach goes beyond a generic energy-healing session by combining individualized energetic work with family-defined goals, careful observation, and ongoing review.

01

We Listen to the Family

Parents and caregivers often notice patterns that no one else sees — what tends to happen before difficult moments, which transitions are hardest, and what helps afterward. Their observations about routines, sleep, school, health, and recovery help shape the plan.

02

We Personalize the Energetic Work

There is no one-size-fits-all Pranic Healing protocol for autism. We consider the individual’s concerns, routines, sensitivities, communication style, current supports, and the energetic patterns being addressed.

03

We Establish Clear Goals

Goals may focus on sleep, anxiety, emotional regulation, sensory recovery, transitions, meltdowns, aggression, recovery time, or other concerns affecting daily life.

04

We Track Meaningful Changes

Families may use questionnaires, written observations, session records, or other agreed-upon methods to track changes and evaluate whether the service is making a meaningful difference.

We do not expect families to rely on belief alone. We encourage careful observation and honest evaluation, recognizing that health, sleep, environment, school, therapy, medication, and changes in routine may also influence what the family observes.

The goal is not to force a success story. It is to determine honestly whether the service is creating meaningful value for the individual and family.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A Clear, Personalized Process

Every family begins with a conversation. From there, we develop a proposed Pranic Healing plan, provide remote sessions, and review the changes the family observes over time.

01

Introductory Conversation

A parent, caregiver, or authorized representative shares information about the individual, the family’s concerns, and the changes they hope to see.

What we may discuss
  • current routines and challenges
  • possible triggers for stress or overwhelm
  • sleep and sensory patterns
  • Physical comfort, digestive concerns, or other health factors affecting daily life
  • communication preferences
  • frequency, intensity, duration, and recovery time related to concerning episodes
  • what helps the individual feel safe or settled
  • current medical, educational, or therapeutic services
02

Personalized Pranic Healing Plan

Twin Hearts Institute develops a proposed plan based on the family’s priorities and the energetic work being considered.

The plan may include cleansing, regulating, balancing, strengthening, or energizing specific chakras and working with energetic patterns associated with emotional stress or overwhelm.

03

Remote Sessions

Sessions are provided without physical contact while the individual remains at home and continues with a familiar activity.

They generally do not need to communicate with the practitioner or remain still.

04

Observation and Review

Parents and caregivers may share observations related to the agreed-upon goals, including sleep, emotional calm, transitions, meltdowns, tantrums, aggression, sensory recovery, or participation in routines.

The plan can be reviewed and adjusted over time.

The process is structured, but it is not rigid. The family’s observations help guide review and adjustment.
Observations may be documented through questionnaires, written notes, session records, or another agreed-upon method.

SUPPORT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

Care for Parents and Caregivers, Too

Supporting a family member with autism or another form of neurodivergence can involve constant responsibility. Parents and caregivers may be coordinating services, attending meetings, advocating for support, managing work and family life, responding to difficult moments, and worrying about the future.

Twin Hearts Institute also offers Pranic Healing for parents and caregivers seeking support with stress, emotional exhaustion, relaxation, resilience, and personal renewal.

Caring for yourself does not mean stepping away from the person you support.

Feeling more grounded and supported may help caregivers respond with greater patience, clarity, and steadiness during demanding moments.

Supporting the caregiver can be an important part of supporting the whole family.

COMPLEMENTARY BY DESIGN

Working Alongside Existing Care

Pranic Healing is intended to complement, not replace, the services and relationships already supporting the individual.

It may be used alongside medical care, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, counseling, behavioral support, educational services, developmental services, caregiver training, and other person-centered supports.

Twin Hearts Institute does not advise families to discontinue medication, therapy, or professionally recommended care.

Our role is to add another dimension of support while respecting the services, professionals, and relationships already helping the individual.

START WITH A CONVERSATION

You Do Not Need to Understand Pranic Healing Before Reaching Out

You may simply know that your child or loved one is struggling, that certain behaviors are affecting the household, or that your family needs another form of support.

During an introductory conversation, we can learn more about what is happening, explain how remote sessions work, answer your questions, and discuss whether Twin Hearts Institute appears to be a good fit.
There is no pressure to continue if the service does not feel right for your family.

Support the individual. Strengthen the family. Respect the journey.
